Everyone

Sign in with your email and password, or with a link Anchor emails you, and see where each kind of account lands.

Before you start

Everyone signs in the same way: facility users, firm staff and platform operators.

You need the email address your Anchor account uses. To sign in with a password, the account needs one. Accounts that joined by invitation start without a password, and those people sign in with an email link until they set one.

If you do not have an account at all, press "Request one" on the sign-in page to request one, or open the invitation your facility sent you.

Steps

1. Go to www.anchorcompliance.ca/sign-in. The page is headed "Sign in to your Anchor Compliance account".

2. Type your email into "Email address" and your password into "Password".

3. Press "Sign in". You are taken straight into Anchor.

4. To sign in without a password, press "Sign in with an email link instead" instead. The password box disappears.

5. Type your email and press "Send sign-in link". The form is replaced by a panel headed "Check your email".

6. Open the email from Anchor and press its link in the same browser, as the panel asks. A page opens headed "Confirm your sign-in".

7. Press "Sign in". The second press is deliberate: it stops a company mail scanner from using up your link before you open it.

How to know it worked

Facility users land on their facility's Overview. The page is headed with the facility's name, and the menu shows "Overview", "Confined Spaces", "Team" and "Settings".

Firm staff land on the firm Overview. The page is headed "Overview" and greets you by name, and the menu shows "Overview" and "Companies".

Platform operators land on "Firms", with "Firms", "Requests" and "Leads" in the menu.

A person whose account request has not been set up yet lands on "Your account is being set up" every time they sign in, until the Anchor team sets up the firm.

If something goes wrong

A wrong password, an unknown email and an account with no password all give the same message: "That email and password did not work. Check them and try again, sign in with an email link instead, or set a password." Anchor gives one message for all three so the page never reveals which addresses have accounts.

The "Check your email" panel also reads the same for every address. If no email arrives, check the address you typed, or ask whoever manages your access whether your account uses a different one.

If you have forgotten your password, or never had one, press "Set or reset your password".

If a sign-in link has expired or was already used, the page says so. Press "Go to sign in" and ask for a new one.

After too many attempts the page reads "Too many sign-in attempts. Wait a few minutes and try again."
